I watched Requiem for a Dream again last night. I had my moment of epiphany somewhere midway through the movie. Like the characters in the movie, I realized I was also an addict, a hardcore addict of information. I find myself a quick hit every now and then. Not an hour passes by without me checking out the feed reader or heading over to del.icio.us to check out the recent bookmarks or reading the tweets I’ve got from twitter.
One of my credos in life is try to learn at least a couple of things each day. I think I’m overdoing it.
I’ve stopped being a new junkie a few years back. I rarely visit any news website or watch a news channel. I don’t even visit Digg other than the time I created an account there.
I think I’ll just unsubscribe from a few feeds and stop following a few people on twitter. I think that should help. Oh! btw, welcome to my blog.
