My Daily Prayer

I think this everyday.

I know I have work to do. I accept the fact that I will be interrupted today. Colleagues will want my opinions and thoughts; family member will be calling/texting me; friends will call me; social networks will ask me to get involved; twitter will prompt me to tweet; emails will move into my inbox; FeedDemon will display new posts; world-changing ideas will flit across my mind. I accept that all these are time sinks and they will do their best to distract me from doing my work. Yet, I cannot afford to ignore work.

Yet I succumb to them. I justify it by quoting that the best way to avoid temptation is to yield to it. :-)
