Machine Tags:
Machine tags, or triple tags, are tags that are made up of three parts (namespace:predicate=value) in order to give extra information. Machine tags have been in use for a while now on sites such as Flickr and Upcoming.org to make information (such as location and event information) accessible to both machines and humans.
I have sprinkled a few machine tags throughout this blog. You can use the search form below to locate them.
Nothing better than an example to explain, do a search for 'amazon', you will get a list of posts that have been tagged as “amazon:asin=somevalue” or “book:title= something” or “book:author=someone”.
