I think I used to look at life as a commute (especially before the pandemic) but now I feel I'm looking at it as a cruise. There are still exceptions where I still find myself on a commute. Hoping it will change. You?

We all have our own experiences from the dreaded Silk Board traffic signal from pre-covid19 times. What's the most you've been stationary at the Silk Board signal? Mine is 55 minutes.

More than an hour inside the company bus circa 2005/6. Once I managed to read a better part of a novel whilst waiting.

A company isn't a family. Parents don't fire their kids for low performance or furlough them in hard times.

A better vision for a workplace is a community—a place where people bond around shared values, feel valued as human beings, and have a voice in decisions that affect them.

A community seems a better model than a family.
